In order to ensure the quality of teaching and education for the new semester, on September 6th, the leaders of WHU, including Han Jin, the Party Secretary of WHU; Dou Xiankang, the President of WHU; Vice President Zhou Yezhong and Li Ziyuan; and Deputy Party Secretary Qu Wenqian, paid a visit to each faculty and teaching building.

Han Jin and Zhou Yezhong came to the First Teaching Building of the Faculty of Engineering, and visited a number of teaching classrooms to inspect student attendance, learning state and classroom order and so on. Han Jin appreciated the positive and energetic state of teachers and students on the first day, and reminded relevant departments and teachers to strictly implement the requirements of pandemic prevention and control, strengthen the tracking and management of teaching, and ensure good teaching order.

Dou Xiankang and Qu Wenqian visited the Fifth Teaching Building in the Faculty of Humanities and Science and the First Teaching Building of the Department in the Faculty of Information Science. They visited several classrooms randomly and stressed that they should strictly implement the student-oriented philosophy, constantly improve the quality and service of teaching and management. Dou Xiankang pointed out that to teach undergraduate students, we should also pay attention to and understand high school education, and make effective and in-depth connection between high school education and undergraduate education.

According to statistics, 6859 courses will be rolled out in this semester, and 31,275 students will get involved. For the students who do not return to school, the responsible departments and teachers need to contact the students in advance and conduct online teaching through the online broadcasting system.
