Since 2018, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences has further improved the evaluation system, strictly adopting unified standards, unified sources and unified methods, and constructed the evaluation system from three dimensions, namely, scientific and technological output, academic impact and scientific and technological conditions. Thus, STEM was created and improved year by year. In 2020, with the goal of double first-class construction and the integration of industry, academia and research, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences rolled out the STEM ranking, aiming to uphold academic integrity, analyze the relevant elements, reflect the science and technology value of medical schools, and reveal the current status of science and technology development of medical schools in a multi-level, comprehensive and three-dimensional manner.
