With the identification of the expert committee, the research of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission and the approval of the State Council, the list of the second round of double first-class construction universities and disciplines and the list of public warning given to the first round of construction disciplines were unveiled.

Wuhan University gets 11 disciplines on the list: Theoretical Economics, Law, Marxist Theory, Chemistry, Geophysics, Biology, Civil Engineering, Water Conservancy Engineering, Surveying and Mapping, Stomatology, Library Intelligence and Archives Management. Among them, Civil Engineering and Water Conservancy Engineering are selected for the first time.

It is reported that 147 colleges and universities are selected, with 7 new colleges and universities. Among the disciplines, there are 59 basic disciplines chosen such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, 180 engineering disciplines, and 92 philosophical and social science disciplines. Peking University and Tsinghua University will announce its independent construction of disciplines by themselves. Another 16 majors of 15 colleges and universities were given public warnings.
